The Approach
Chef–owner Ray Lee collaborated
with AvroKO’s design team and BB’s graphics team to create a twentieth-century futurist aesthetic blending Japanese and American modernism with bespoke wood and tile details.

The Expression
Clean and simple type treatments deliver information clearly. Crisp, full-bleed graphic patterns overlap, with the color palette responding to passing seasons. The brand icon—a line drawing of a fish—is effective while providing a touch of whimsy.

The Space
Our sister studio AvroKO’s interior design includes a theatrical, open-concept chef’s stage. This hero feature—in dialogue with 1970s Japanese graphic design and gestural Gutai art—inspired the brand identity, highlighting seasonal ingredients.
