Naming, Brand Identity, Collateral Design
The Wayward at Perry Lane Hotel
Not-your-average watering hole.
As part of our larger scope for The Perry Lane Hotel, we also developed identities for the restaurants within. The goal was to position each venue as distinct, with its own draw and sense of place, while helping to bring to life the rich narrative of the hotel brand overall. The lobby bar needed to establish itself as more than just a hotel lounge, inviting the neighborhood in and creating a name for itself amongst the local competition.
We created The Wayward, an elevated take on the local dive, that balances refined textures and best-in-class hospitality with bold gestures and a touch of rebellion. Named for Savannah’s storied past as a port city, The Wayward is a refuge for the cocktail enthusiast with a swarthy, sailor heart. Equal parts rugged and refined, utilizing worn leathers and playful typography, The Wayward is the perfect minimalist and monochrome complement to its colorful sister venue, The Peregrin lounge on the rooftop of the hotel.
