The Approach
Austin’s only rickhouse, Fierce Whiskers is authentic and uncommon. It exists outside the whiskey establishment—and is proud of that fact. We worked to connect three currents of influence: heritage craft, local Texan makers, and a sense of process.
The Expression
Vernacular distillery design
celebrates efficiency, functionalism,
and seasonality. The environment humbly and quietly conveys excellence. It uses honest, authentic materials enhanced by their connection to the natural world—specifically Austin.
The Space
The brand logo is etched into a slab of local limestone, surrounded by patinated leather, denim, and mesquite and white oak millwork—giving guests a view of the copper still beyond. The space communicates craft, cowboy culture, and Austin independence.
