- A multi-disciplined creative, delivering work with insightful creative ideas, exceptional design and craft skills, and smart strategic thinking.
- Strategic and conceptual thinker who can create and visually communicate brand strategy
- An experienced collaborator, able to work with and utilize a wide range of internal and external resources (copywriters, illustrators, strategists etc..)
- Strong, compelling presenter
- Produce compelling ideas and develop them into tangible design solutions across print, digital, experiential, offline media, and beyond
Detailed Description:
We see graphic design as visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires. We are looking for a highly creative graphic designer who can take conceptual ideas and create visual representations, in print, digital and experiential applications. Our ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and skilled with every step of the design process from concept to the final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams at our company, the graphic designer should be able to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and design strategy, with the ability to vary design solutions depending on the project.
Graphic Designer – Mid Level / Senior
The Graphic Designer will:
- Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams or clients for a wide range of materials that may include visual brand identity systems, print & digital collateral, signage, internal & external communication, newsletters, and marketing materials
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity
- Develop concepts and execute original content determining ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout
- Be convincing and influential when presenting ideas and creative work to multiple stakeholders
- Explore new tools and visual ways to execute ideas
- Seek and listen to feedback and using it to build on ideas and push the your and others work further
- Generate original ideas favouring radical solutions. You should develop concepts that focus on the root cause and create a clear vision. You are interested in the underlying principles of an idea and comfortable in applying theory.
- Analyse information, ask probing questions and have a passion for finding solutions.
- Meet deadlines and are focused on ensuring the task at hand is fully completed. You champion your craft, and are meticulous about the details.
Requirements:
- 3—5+ years experience in a graphic design role, agency or in-house design team environment
- A portfolio that shows beautiful and strategic creative solutions
- Mastery of the design fundamentals: typography, composition, color, and layout
- Experience in brand system building and establishing a brand platform
- Proficiency in Adobe CC Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Presentation skills
- Curiosity, enthusiasm, drive, and a love of learning
